Roy is a founder of Aeropower and was CEO from 1993 until 2016, when he took on his current role as Executive Chairman. As an experienced pilot, aircraft maintenance engineer and a pioneer in the use of helicopters in Australia to support the electricity industry, Roy shares his experience and knowledge providing guidance to Aeropower’s executive leadership team as well as leading Aeropower international business development.

As CEO, Darryn is responsible for Aeropower’s business strategy, financial performance and legal and regulatory compliance. An experienced executive, Darryn has more than 25 years of experience in leadership positions within the aviation, transport, resources and training industries.

As Chief Operating Officer, John draws on his 40 years of experience in the power industry to lead Aeropower’s aviation and electrical contracting operations. John is passionate about safety and works closely with the rest of the executive team and Aeropower’s Safety Manager to champion a safety culture.
Rob is responsible for Aeropower’s aviation operations and is a CASA approved Chief Pilot. Rob has more than 15 years general aviation experience and was previously Aeropower’s Chief Flying Instructor and Deputy Chief Pilot.

Michael is Australia’s most experienced helicopter lineworker with over 25 years performing specialised helicopter powerline operations and accumulating more than 10,000 flight hours.
